Robin McCoy is a trusted voice on aging, housing decisions, and proactive life planning. She has been featured on PBS Kansas’s Empowering Seniors, the radio show “Always Ageless”, and in Dallas Voyager, where she shares practical guidance that helps older adults and their families avoid crisis-driven decisions and move forward with clarity. As a Realtor®, Senior Home Coach, and host of the podcast Relax, I Got This! Embracing Life After 60, Robin is known for translating complicated topics like downsizing, safety, caregiving, and future housing choices into plain, usable steps people can actually act on. Her media appearances focus on giving audiences confidence, not just information, so they can live lighter, safer, and more intentionally in the years ahead.
What an honor! I had the privilege of sitting down with the one and only Valerie Van de Zilver and talk about what does it really mean to age with confidence? In this episode of Always Ageless, host Valerie Van de Zilver and I dive into exactly that. Valerie brings over 50 years of real estate experience and a deeply personal perspective as a caregiver to her 105-year-old mother, making her one of the most authentic voices in the senior transition space. Together we talk about what a Senior Home Coach actually does, why starting conversations early is a game-changer for families, and how shifting the way we think about aging changes everything. Whether you’re navigating your own next chapter or helping a parent do the same, this conversation will leave you feeling less alone and a whole lot more ready. Pull up a chair — this one’s good.
PBS Kansas KPTS [Episode 605]
On PBS Kansas’s Empowering Seniors, Robin McCoy shared how podcast listening is rapidly growing among adults 55+ and why it’s becoming a trusted way to learn without overwhelm. Drawing from her own experiences helping her parents navigate aging decisions, she explained that podcasts give listeners real-world guidance on healthcare, housing choices, safety, and planning ahead, allowing people to absorb information at their own pace and make thoughtful decisions before urgency forces them to react.
Planning for aging is not a someday conversation — it’s a right now one. I joined the team at Zemplee, whose AI-powered remote monitoring technology is helping older adults live safer, more independent lives at home, to talk about what it really takes to age with dignity and intention. We covered a lot of ground: home modifications, ADUs, reverse mortgages, house hacking, and why waiting too long to plan almost always costs more than just money. If you’ve been putting off the conversation with yourself or your family, consider this your nudge. 😊

Robin, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Typically my day starts at about 4:30 or 5am. I like to work out before anything else; it makes sure it actually gets done. So I am either walking with a friend or doing my boot camp class. That typically ends by 6:30am and I just on my first of 2 mastermind calls of the day from 6:30 to 7:20am each day. Read more….
